Restore & Rejuvenate New Moon Women’s Yoga & Sound Workshop

Take some time out for yourself and join us for an afternoon of yoga and sound healing.

In this women's workshop we will be focusing on connecting to the sacral chakra and the water element in the days after the new moon, which is a powerful time for manifestation.  Danielle will lead us through yoga sequences to stimulate the endocrine system and unlock our creativity and self-love whilst nurturing our bodies. As women, we often spend time nurturing others but neglect our own self love so this afternoon is about filling our own cups. Expect energising flowing sequences followed by restorative asanas and lots of hip opening!  Our practice will be accompanied by sound vibrations from the gong.

Louise will then lead us into a 40 minute gong meditation to seal in the practice and enable deeper relaxation and healing. There's nothing for you to do but lie down, drop anchor and receive allowing the gong's frequencies wash over you and into you, clearing any blockages and soothing any stress in the body and mind.

A gong bath is a powerful sonic meditation which enables deep relaxation to bring about peace and wellbeing for improved health. The vibrations from the gongs assist the release of emotional and energy blockages in the body and stimulate deep healing on a cellular level.  The gong slows the brainwaves, inducing a dreamlike state and opens us up to take an inner journey where our sense of time dissipates and we are left to simply 'be' and vibrate with the gong.

We will finish with a cup of heart warming rose tea and a chat to ground you before you head back out into the world!

This workshop is suitable for all levels.

This Yin yoga workshop will explore different ways of working within a Yin pose to help cultivate a sense of presence, and explore being with the moment to moment experience.  Using the breath, including connecting with the sense door of each organ.  Daoists use visualisation to heal the organs.  Silence and mental quietness are healthy for the heart.

When our knowingness is resting within areas within us, without aggression or distraction, we are gathered, that initiates the balance of our organism.

Cultivating Compassion - Yoga and the Vagus Nerve

Cultivating Compassion - Yoga and the Vagus Nerve

We live in a world where we are always switched on and many people are suffering from burn-out. Working with the Vagus Nerve is a key way to activate the Parasympathetic Nervous System, creating balance and conscious healing.

Higher vagal tone is linked to physical and psychological wellbeing. The vagus nerve is a bundle of nerves starting at the top of the spinal cord. It activates different organs throughout the body (including the heart, lungs, liver and digestive organs). People with high vagal tone have improved immunity, cell regeneration and deal with stressful situations in a more conscious way. They are even more in-tune with their gut instincts.

In this workshop, we will activate the Vagus Nerve through asana, breathwork, meditation, hands-on integration techniques and yoga nidra – essentially creating body awareness and deep relaxation.

This is where cacao and rape'h come in to guide us on a beautiful and unveiling journey. We will unfold the mind's inner layers in a subtle yet profound way, stimulating the capacity to inhabit deep awareness, clarity presence and tranquility.

Conscious Flow & Stillness with Prashant Tewatia

During this workshop we will mindfully explore and combine these two contrary forces in order to reconnect with a harmonious sense of well-being.

Benefits of this workshop:
• A conscious flow sequence/movements working on fascia level for flexibility and opening the meridians.
• A conscious stillness practice working deeper on the joints and connective tissue and calming the nervous system
• Learning how to balance the qualities of Yin and Yang

Twisty deliciousness workshop with Tessa
Jul

2:00 PM14:00

Twisty deliciousness workshop with Tessa

This workshop will stimulate the organs, intestines, and spine to create heat and encourage purification by using twists as part of a vinyasa flow practice. This process will help further your personal curiosity and foster a time of solace from the demands of your day. The practice will guide you through twists and bends to give extra attention to the places where you might feel stuck.

Twists rotate the spine and stretch the muscles of the back. This helps to restore and retain the spine’s natural range of motion. If we don’t employ our natural range of motion we run the risk of our joints hardening and fusing. By extending the muscles to their full length regularly with twists, we can help to prevent this.

In twists you work with the spine and the action of ‘lengthening’ is to create space between the vertebrae. When there is a lack of space our spine tends to slump or get stuck and our energy levels drop. Through twisting we lengthen the spine and get space between the bones thereby helping the energy to flow better. Twists give us an instant energy lift and decompress the vertebrae in a safe healthy way.

This workshop will encourage movement, incorporate breath work, and give you time to rest deeply before the week ahead. All workshops will include an active yoga practice, pranayama, guided meditation, and a restorative practice to leave students feeling deeply rested. All levels are welcome!

£20 on the day

Beginners' Workshop

Not sure of your pranayama from your pigeon pose, more “Na-ma-stay in Bed” than Yoga Bunny, this beginners workshop is for you!

There is no such thing as being bad at yoga – if you breathe & move & show up to a class with an open mind - you are as yogic as you’ll ever need to be!

This workshop will break down some of the classic yoga poses (asanas in Sanskrit) with manageable, easy to understand instructions & offer you time to ask any burning questions. One pose can look very different in different bodies – our aim isn’t to unify but to use physical assist and alignment cues to help you settle in & become familiar with how the poses feel in your body.

The benefits of yoga are endless, we hope to hook you in with how good synchronised breath & movement feels so that you might take a little home to practice or come along to a weekly class or two…cheaper than a massage & a chance to try something new. I look forward to seeing you on the mat…

Pranayama - Breath & Yoga Workshop
Jun

2:00 PM14:00

Pranayama - Breath & Yoga Workshop

Breath workshop - Pranayama (prana=energy; yama=to guide).
All physical, emotional, & mental stress is reflected in the breath: our breathing responds to every thought, feeling & sensation (think of the quick inhale of surprise, the exaggerated exhale in a good cry, the fast heartbeat and short, chesty breathing of anxiety).

In this workshop Tessa McLennan will show us how to work with the breath: we will practice observing it, changing it, & figure out how to feel & receive the breath with greater understanding & openness.

We will explore the breath’s role in supporting the postures, while re-energising & rejuvenating the body. There is a strong belief that it is not muscle that enables you to hold the posture, but is the mind that creates the balance & the breath gives you the ability to hold it.

We will finish with a guided meditation to allow you to go deeper into relaxation & to help the thinking part of your brain to “switch off”.

The workshop will include an active yoga practice, pranayama, guided meditation, & a restorative practice to leave students feeling deeply rested yet alive, clear, relaxed, & free.

Everything is provided & all levels are welcome!
